Regional powerhouse and Broker Network Partner, Finch Group has continued its acquisition expansion in the South by purchasing Specialist Insurance Agency Ltd (trading as SIA), based in Southampton.
Established in 1994, SIA is an independent insurance broker managing £4m of client premiums and focused predominately on commercial business. The SIA management team of Tony Quick, Gary Purcell and Joe Bowie will remain with the business alongside their members of staff.
SIA has extensive home insurance expertise and its book of business will bring additional capacity for growth and a stronger market foothold in the Southampton area.
Finch Group which has its head office in Reading, has increased its GWP from £20m to £38m since becoming the first Broker Network Partner 2 years ago.
Commenting on the Group’s latest developments, Vince Gardner, Finch Group’s Managing Director said: “I have known the SIA team since they were first established and tracked their progress with great interest. For SIA to blend their team with ours in Southampton will enable us to create a £15m GWP Southampton office, offering first class advice and service to our SME and Private Clients, with a true depth of broking and claims service.”
